ABOUT
THE DAEMON IN OUR DREAMS
Three strangers in different parts of the world each has three nightmares in which a young Indian man stares menacingly at them. The dreams invoke funeral pyres, glaring skulls and feral beasts. On a land and sea tour from Singapore to the Taj Mahal these three people, Dr. Lee Ably, Fran Carr, and Paul Rowan, separately begin to see the threatening dream daemon in real life, in real time. They have given him a name—Ramesh—but cannot find a reason for his pursuit of them. And how does he get from place to place to materialize before them?
The suspense builds as one after the other of the three travelers is confronted by Ramesh in exotic places. They watch in horror as their daemon changes and evolves in successive sightings into a more deadly and threatening foe.
When the trip nears its end, the three think they have found surcease in England, but an Indian hijra message causes them to think otherwise.
In a London hotel lounge three assassinations take place. The assassin appears to be the dream daemon. Why has all of this happened? What ties these three people and their ghostly interloper to one another?
We are drawn into this eerie and insightful story as the book’s narrative drive propels and impels readers deeper into the labyrinth. It’s an unforgettable tale of human beings facing a fateful and inescapable fate. |
